1. 1. Find the right service for free

   Send your objective and available inputs to POST /adopt. This HTTP service planner selects a matching offer or asks for missing information. It does not run a paid tool, authorize payment, or create an order. No MCP setup is needed for this request.

   This example uses synthetic restoration inputs. max_price_minor: 100 caps the advertised service price at 100 cents; it is a selection filter, not a spending authorization. A READY_FOR_QUOTE response supplies integration.quote_request with the method, URL and body to use. If the planner returns NEEDS_INPUT, BUDGET_TOO_LOW, or NO_MATCH, resolve that result before requesting a report.

2. 2. Check the method and inputs with a free preview

   Connect an MCP-compatible client to this endpoint. Use only synthetic, public, or de-identified inputs. Check the chosen kernel’s units and scope, run a preview, then verify its receipt.

3. 3. Inspect the exact unpaid quote

   Use the planner’s quote request without a payment header. This matching synthetic example should return HTTP 402 with a PAYMENT-REQUIRED header. That response is an unpaid quote; no report has been purchased or delivered.

   The quote is the authority for the current amount and payment terms. Check the recipient, network, asset, method, resource and your spending limit before signing. The example does not make a payment.

4. 4. Authorize one report and keep the result

   An x402-capable wallet or payment client and an explicit spending mandate are required for purchase. Authorize that request only, then retry the unchanged request with the client’s PAYMENT-SIGNATURE header. Receive the report as JSON in the paid response and retain it with the payment and delivery receipts.

   Keep private keys out of prompts and reports. After an uncertain timeout, reconcile the purchase before paying again. A new report requires a new authorization; there are no automatic follow-on purchases.
